Ads!
Tessa’s Background TLDR:
I went to Notre Dame and got a degree in Graphic Design. I went to work and spent a decade in the apparel and footwear industry. After Trump was elected, my face looked like this pretty much all the time. I liked making cool stuff, but our lives are political, and I needed to do something that would make a difference.
Since then, I’ve learned I really like marketing. I still occasionally do some graphic design, but I think the psychographics of audiences is really interesting and I like coming up with the strategy to achieve a goal, especially when I can do something creative that is a bit different. I really like Ad Ops and being the person setting and optimizing and checking pacing. And, I’m good at this. I’ve worked on multi-million dollar persuasion campaigns, multi-channel campaigns with 23 different geos, lobbying campaigns, advocacy work, and fundraising and acquisition direct response. One of the most important things I’ve done was help to bring about a Democratic trifecta to Minnesota in 2022, and for part of that work, I won a Pollie for ad targeting.
When I’m not doing ads work, I’m probably painting, playing or watching a sport, or guarding one anxious gray cat’s food from his very hungry one-eyed sister. I may also be making more funny faces at cameras.
